Am I safe?

My working place, UNESCO Bangkok Office is concerned over the process of the nomination of Preah Vihear temple as a World Heritage Site - a hot and old political issue between Thailand and Cambodia. That’s why arousing the conflict between two countries. I am presently fearful that in the event the nomination is confirmed by the World Heritage Committee, serious demonstrations may take place at the UNESCO building. In order to prepare for this, a precautionary meeting was held this afternoon in order to have some precautionary measures. Although UNESCO Bangkok also got support from the ESCAP security force and the police, we still concerned the personal safety. Therefore, we were encouraged to leave early from the building. Stephen and I packed my belongings and left at 2p.m. When we went to the main gate, there were already police force and security guards helped defend. At that moment, I was a little bit scared. But now, I am safe. I was quite surprised for this sudden day-off. Hope there will be peaceful tomorrow. Please pray for us, especially for our safety.
